Informal settlements

When I woke up I went to the tap next to my shack, with my parents then I walked to my school.
I got to my squashed-up class, but I was late, then I got into a fight during break.
My punishment was a detention and we wrote a test as soon as I got back to the class. I saw someone cheating on the test, but I could not tell my teacher because she would not listen to me… We needed to take the workbooks and I wish there was more, but we had to share because there were only ten, so we had to work on it together until 14:30.
On my way to my shack, I saw a lot of litter and I wish that it was cleaner and that the government helped… There was a heavy rain when I got to my small shack, it was flooded, I saw my dad lying dead on the floor during the flood. All our belongings were wet, all my clothes were gone so I had to stay in my school uniform. My tears joined the water from the flood and I was feeling down.
I noticed that my mom was sad because of my father’s death, so we asked the government for help, but they did not help us. I wish that I could help.
The rain stopped, we left home, and my mom was talking about how dirty the streets were and how badly she wanted the government to clean the streets. Life keeps on getting worse, first, it was the flood, then my father’s death and now my mom is sick because of the dust in the streets. I wish everything was just like in the movies where everyone is happy. I wish that the government would help us. I wish that I could be the president will help my people.
